I started in banking in 1978 and worked up through many positions in the bank. In 1989, I took a position with First Union Home Equity, and fell in love with mortgages. I continued to work with several different lending jobs inside First Union until 1995, when I realized I could help more people by brokering because I would have access to many different lenders, not just one. It took three years of working for different brokers to realize I would prefer to be on my own, and so Solution 1 Mortgage Corp. was founded.
The excitement never fades for being a part of helping someone realize their dream of owning a home. I try to always remember my first home purchase and how intimidating it can be and try to remove as much of that for my customers as possible.
